REFLECTION TASK A1
Hi everyone! I want to
talk about myself a little. I am Esma and I was born in Karaman on 9 january
1995. We have been living in Cyprus, Lefkoşa since 2010 but actually i am from
Konya.These cities are really different from each other but i love both of them.
I have two brother younger than me. One
of my brothers started to his university this year. He lives in Lefkoşa with my
family. Therefore, i am sometimes jealous of him. J Nonethless, I love ANKARA , I love being
independent from my family, and of course I love METU, its social environment
and teacher- student relationship. Being admitted in the department of Faculty
of Language Education by METU is one of my goals. Therefore, I am very happy to
be here and be part of the METU family. J I like learning new languages, so in addition to
English and German, I have been learning
Spanish in Ankara University TÖMER. It is my favorite spanish song.
Also, I am
interested in Classical Turkish music, and I am playing ney-flute which are considered the
most typical instruments of Classical Turkish music together with the Turkish
tanbur lute and Turkish kemençe fiddle. If you are interested about ney-flute
and its sound, you can watch this video.
As everybody has a favorite book and movie, I have a favorite book and movie.
The book which I really enjoyed while reading is Inkheart. Actually its a
trilogy which is series of three fantasy novels written by German author
Cornelia Funke, comprising 3 books : Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath. I read these books when I was in High School. I strongly recommend this
trilogy to fantasy book lovers.
Lastly my favorite movie is “Life is Beautiful”.
I think people who haven’t watched yet this movie should keep it in their mind.

YanıtlaSilYou gave a lot of information about your background and your hobbies. You like being independent from your family. This is really nice. I would want to be like you. I can't live apart from my family. I like learning new languages,too. I hope I will also learn Spanish in the future. I haven't read these fantasy novels yet,but I will read as soon as possible. Visual aids you used really have made a good impression on me. However,there are some grammatical errors in your journal. For example,in this sentence ' Being admitted in the department of Faculty of Language Education by METU is one of my goals.' we should use the past tense. However,they are not serious errors. You expressed yourself very well. Lastly,you wrote what you have recently done and what you did in the past. I want to ask a question to you. What are your future plans?

YanıtlaSilI like your reflection very much.At the beginning of it, you mentioned your family , and then , you mentioned your school life and your hobbies.You also told us your best books and movies.This is really nice.I haven't read these books before .I will read them as soon as it is possible.Moreover ,you said you learn Spanish ,i t is really wonderful, I appreciate you:) and I hope I have a chance to listen you while you are playing ney- flute.I watched this film and I agree with you , everybody should watch this movie.You describe yourself very well.Thanks to your videos and pictures, you have left me a positive impression.If I look at your paragraph grammatically, there is no important mistake, but the sentence "which are considered the most typical..." if you use "as" after considered ,I think it can be better.Lastly,I liked your sharing so much:)

I am happy to learn that because I love it, too.I read some of best before books that are really amazing and I love.Moreover ,you said you learn Spanish ,it is really nice and I want to learn Spanish, too.Maybe you can teach me a few Spanish word.I did not watch this film that you mentioned before , but I try to watch it as soon as possiple.You describe yourself very well.If I look at your paragraph grammatically, there is no important mistake.Lastly, thank you for sharing so much:)

YanıtlaSilFirstly, I want to thank you for sharing information about yourself so clearly :) I really enjoyed reading your task. I did not know that how sophisticated you are before I read it. Actually, I liken myself to you. I like learning new languages as you do :) I like being independent but ofcourse I miss my family so much when I am way from them. You musical taste is also very good. And the movie you mentioned about is also one of my favourites. I watched that movie a year ago and I was really impressed. However I don't know the books you mention about. It is the first time I've heard them :) I am sure that I will like them when I read. Thanks again for sharing this information about yourself! :)

Also, I realized that you and I have the same taste of book because I also love fantastic books. I will search for the books you talked about and try to read as soon as possible. Like our other frieds said, there are a fex gramatical mistakes, but I don't want to talk about them. It can always happen and I am sure that you already realized your mistakes.
